New Ventures Maine (formerly called Women, Work, and Community) is a community partner of MEOC that focuses on helping Maine people achieve economic security for themselves and their families.

October 11, they are offering their career planning class online for Maine adults. Oh, did we mention that it’s free?

SMCC Offers New Construction Program

Do you know someone who is interested in a career in construction? If so, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) has announced a new program called “Construction Institute” which offers training, certificates and a two-year degree option. Sponsored by Maine Quality Centers, this program currently has funding for 16 free spots. Click here to learn more, and please share with anyone who may be interested.

The Maine Educational Opportunity Center is funded entirely by the US Department of Education. The grant award for 2022-2023 is $782,801 .
